Ama Koo!
Chapter 1
Adopted

It was a dark and stormy night. A child was born. She had bright blue eyes and light brown- blonde hair.
A year passed- Cara was one. She had to live in an adoption center and had to be taken care of there. Her actual mother had given Cara up. Cara's mother was very sick with Cancer. She couldn't handle taking care of a baby in that condition.
Cara only lived in the center for one year. She was adopted at age 1 by the Quarttzo family. (Family as in huband and wife only). She lived a wonderful life at there house and was very happy.
11 years later-
A Girl named Cara. Other girls names Luna, Melissa, Mary, and  Ella. They were all Best friends! Cara was super sweet and never did anything bad. She had an odd fashion style, but that wasn't bad.
One day, Cara ran outside and was way over-joyed to find her friends sitting under the same tree they had named the glitter tree when they were 6. (Now they were 12.)
She arrived with a happy wave and said "Hi guys!"

Everything was normal. They all sat and talked. But in the middle of Cara's story, Ella, whispered something into Mary's ear.

"Did you see what Cara is wearing? We should totally put this into our blog, Strangest people of around town we just need a picture..."

Cara overheard this. Being the kind-hearted person she was, she didn't say anything.

"Uhm," Cara started. "I'll finish my story later. I have to go now. Uh... Sorry, bye!"

Cara ran and hid behind a different tree. Cara thought, "They had to be joking!" She knew her best friends wouldn't do that. Besides, Cara was only wearing  gloves, leg warmers, a dress, a bow and flip flops. They were mix-matched colors,- not complimentary or anything- but still. Some people were way more 'strange around town' than her. Like the insane old man everyone called Pony Man. He had over 40 horses! He also collected anything horse.
Horse bed sheets, Pony rugs, lampshades,
stuffed animals, keychains. You name it, he had it. She still decided that she would check the website.

With that, Cara ran home and checked out the website/blog called "Strangest People around town."
It said it was published, by Mary
Swallmay, photos by Ella Graci, typed by Melissa Harmaz and there was a special thanks to Luna Marzo for not helping. All the pictures on the website were Cara! (well like 3 were some other weirdos...)
It ruined everything. Cara realized what kind of people they were. They were backstabbers. They may not have been when they were 6 years old when they met each other, but now they were.
Cara returned to her parents in the living room. Cara sat on the couch. They were upset. It was very obvious.

"What's wrong, mom?" Cara asked.
Her mother sighed and gave Cara stern look. "Cara," She sighed. "You are judge ordered to be taken from our family and given to other foster parents.
Tears gathered in Cara's eyes. She didn't know what to do. Cara ran to her room.
She grabbed her journal and scrapbook.
Cara decided to run away from home. She refused to be put with strangers against her will.
That night, during the dark, Cara took her bag, journal, scrapbook, toothbrush, clothes, etc. and left home.
She did not know where to go. She went to the park and laid on the bench. Cara remembered she had grabbed a magazine on the way out the door. It was her favorite, Lake Girl Magazine. She began to read it when she saw an ad for a school for homeless children. It was free, and gave a place to live. It was called Flower Star school. The deal seemed good to Cara. It supported kids until 12th grade. she laid on the bench and got out her blanket. She said to herself she would go to enroll at Flower Star school the next morning. Cara slept on it.
The next morning ther was a beautiful sunrise. Cara looked at her watch and saw it was 8:27 AM. Sunday, 8:27 AM.
Cara ran to the school for homeless children called Flower Star school.
She didn't know where to go, or anything. But she vowed she would do to stay there and get an education. The school was free and was for homeless children. They lived there at the school, too.
The first day she met a girl named Kaylee. Kaylee's parents died when she was 3. Her parents were old but murdered. When Kaylee's parents were killed, her

grandmother was so old she couldn't care for Kaylee (Again, Kaylee was only 3).
Cara felt so bad.  Cara went to the office to see where she was to stay.

"Um," Cara shyly opened the door. "I don't know where to go."
"Oh yes. I forgot. You will be paired up with Avi Steminghan. Go to the 10th floor. We don't use the elevators here. They are always malfunctioning. Go to room 623 in the Owl Flight of the school.
With that said, Cara left the office and began up the steps.
